Product Description

If you are pushing more boost than stock, you are likely dealing with "blow-by." This is when excessive crankcase pressure pushes oil vapor into the intake tract. When this oily air mixes with your fuel, it effectively lowers the octane rating, inviting the engine killer: detonation (knock). The COBB Tuning Air/Oil Separator is the fix. It intercepts that oily air before it hits the intake, scrubs it clean, and returns the oil to the oil pan where it belongs.

This isn't a simple catch can you have to empty every week. It is a fully engineered system developed alongside the block experts at IAG Performance. The magic lies in the Cast Aluminum "Snail" Design. By directing crank pressure into a swirl pattern, the AOS uses centrifugal force to separate the heavy oil droplets from the air. The oil drains back down, and the clean air vents out.

Size matters when you are modifying a car. Small catch cans fill up quickly, especially during track days or heavy spirited driving. With a 1-liter capacity (approx. 4" wide x 5.75" tall), this unit has the volume to handle the heavy breathing of a built engine without choking or backing up. It ensures crankcase pressure never builds up enough to blow out a seal.

Many AOS systems fail in cold weather because water vapor freezes inside or mixes with oil to form a yellow sludge. COBB solved this by integrating a Coolant Heating System into the backplate. By keeping the canister at operating temperature, water evaporates instantly, leaving only clean oil to drain back. It keeps the system functioning perfectly, whether it's a track day in July or a commute in January.
