Product Description

If you own a VA-chassis WRX, you are driving with a ticking time bomb: the stock charge pipe. Subaru built the factory unit out of plastic. Over time, the heat from the turbo makes that plastic brittle, and the flange eventually cracks or separates, causing a massive boost leak that leaves the car stranded. The COBB Tuning Charge Pipe is the permanent solution to this problem, replacing the restrictive plastic with rigid, free-flowing aluminum.

A massive pipe is useless if it rubs against everything in the engine bay. COBB engineers designed this kit with a unique Billet Transition piece. It gradually expands the diameter from the turbo outlet (2") to the throttle body side (2.5"). This "stepped" design not only smooths out the airflow turbulence but also keeps the pipe tucked in tight. This means if you decide to upgrade to a thick aftermarket radiator (like a Koyo or Mishimoto) for track days later, this pipe will still fit without rubbing.

Nobody likes an engine bay that looks like a mismatched puzzle. COBB finished this tubing in a signature Wrinkle Black Powder Coat. It looks tough, resists scratches, and matches the texture of the factory intake manifold perfectly. It looks like the part Subaru should have installed at the factory.
