Product Description

The FT86 platform (BRZ/FR-S/86) is one of the best handling chassis ever made, but the factory suspension is tuned to be "safe" with a bit of understeer. That means plenty of body roll and a rear end that hesitates before it follows the front. The COBB Tuning Adjustable Rear Sway Bar changes the game completely. By upgrading to a solid, thicker bar, you drastically increase the roll stiffness in the rear. This keeps the car flat and encourages the back tires to break traction when you want them to, allowing you to steer the car with your right foot.

22mm vs. 24mm: Pick Your Personality Because the BRZ/86 is a lightweight RWD car, bar size matters a lot:

• The 22mm Bar: This is a significant upgrade from stock. It kills the body roll and makes the car feel neutral and sharp. It’s perfect for canyon carvers and track day enthusiasts who want grip without snapping sideways instantly.

• The 24mm Bar: This is for the drivers who want Action. If you are building a drift car or an autocross machine where you need the rear end to step out immediately, this is the bar. It creates a very lively, aggressive handling profile.

Suspension is personal. That is why COBB Tuning designed these bars with 3-Position Adjustability. By swapping the end link to a different hole, you effectively change the leverage ratio:

• Soft Setting: Keeps the rear planted for high-speed stability.

• Stiff Setting: Maximum rotation. This essentially tells the rear tires to "let go" sooner, making it easier to initiate a slide or rotate through a tight hairpin.
