About this Radium Fuel Filter
Two filter element options are available.
The 6 micron microglass element (20-0585-05) provides absolute-rated 99.9% capture efficiency at 6 micron, meeting the Bosch fuel injector filtration specification. The microglass element is not reusable and must be replaced at the end of its service life. Buyers running high-output builds, sensitive injectors, or alternate fuels such as E85 and ethanol blends typically prefer the 6 micron microglass for superior contamination protection.
The 10 micron stainless mesh element (20-0585-03) is nominally rated and is fully cleanable and reusable, making it the lower long-term cost option.
Because this filter is less restrictive than the OEM Nissan unit, it reduces pre-filter fuel pressure, lowers current draw on the fuel pump, reduces fuel temperatures, and increases overall fuel flow. Kit includes the anodized aluminum filter housing, 2-piece clamp, AN fittings, 6AN rubber fuel hose, and stainless steel hardware. An extra 90-degree PushLok hose end is included for aftermarket fuel rail applications that require a different outlet orientation. Compatible with all fuel types including methanol, ethanol, E85, and gasoline.
What's Included?
- Selectable Fuel Filter Element
- Anodized Aluminum Filter Housing
- Anodized Aluminum 2-Piece Clamp
- Anodized Aluminum Fittings
- Large 6AN Rubber Fuel Hose
- Stainless Steel Hardware
- Note: An extra 90 degree PushLok hose end is provided for aftermarket fuel rail applications that have a 6AN male inlet fitting.
Pairs well with:
- Radium Engineering Fuel Hanger Surge Tank Nissan 240SX/Silvia (1995-2001) / Skyline GTR (1995-2002) — a complete in-tank surge tank upgrade from the same manufacturer to pair with the fuel filter kit for a full high-flow Radium fuel system build on S-chassis and Skyline platforms.
Product Description
The factory Nissan fuel filter is plumbed between the fuel pump and the fuel rail. This Radium Engineering kit is an OEM fuel filter replacement.
The Radium kit installs in less than an hour. No cutting or drilling is required. A couple of wrenches is all that is required.
Because the Radium filter is less restrictive than the OEM Nissan filter, there is less stress put on the fuel pump. Lower pre filter pressures permit less current draw and thus lower fuel temperatures. This phenomenon permits an increase in fuel flow.
The filters can withstand alternate fuels such as methanol, ethanol, E85, etc.
